Sourcing and Warehousing Specialist would involve overseeing the sourcing and procurement of supplements for a company. Main responsibilities may include:
1. Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers or vendors for supplements. Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
2.Candidate should have Warehouse Management Experience (Pharma industry preferred).
3. Sourcing Strategies: Developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Analyzing market trends, identifying potential risks, and exploring new sourcing opportunities.
4. Quality Control: Collaborating with quality assurance teams to ensure that the sourced supplements meet the required standards and regulations. Conducting supplier audits and inspections to assess quality and compliance.
5 .Pricing and Cost Management: Negotiating competitive pricing with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining product quality. Monitoring market trends and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
6 .Supply Chain Management: Coordinating with cross-functional teams such as production, logistics, and inventory management to ensure a smooth supply chain process. Collaborating closely with these teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and prevent stockouts. Contract Management: Managing supplier contracts, including terms and conditions, delivery schedules, payment terms, and performance metrics. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
7.Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the sourcing and procurement of supplements. Developing contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or changes in regulations.
8.Continuous Improvement: Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance to identify areas for improvement. Implementing process enhancements and best practices to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
9.Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and ethical sourcing practices. Upholding sustainability initiatives and social responsibility in the supply chain.
10.Team Leadership: Providing guidance and supervision to a team of sourcing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Mentoring junior team members and supporting their professional development.
11.Collaborative Cross-Functional Work: Coordinate with various internal teams such as product development, marketing, and operations to align sourcing strategies with company objectives. Collaborate with these teams to introduce new products, improve existing products, and drive innovation.
12.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations on sourcing metrics, supplier performance, and market trends. Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
13. Warehouse Operations Management:
- Plan, organize, and direct the overall operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products or materials.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and conduct regular stock checks.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
15 .Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and analyze inventory data, making informed decisions on stock replenishment and allocation.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Implement and maintain proper storage and organization systems to maximize space utilization.
16 .Qality Assurance:
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of products or materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing goods to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any product-related issues or customer complaints.
